📜 Chronicles of the Dynasty – On the Growth of Cities (v1.5.2)

    Quote
    “A city that rises overnight
    has no history.”

From the archives of the chroniclers of Anno Domini 1401

For a long time, young dynasties believed

that greatness lay in swift completion.

Yet the stones themselves teach otherwise.

    Quote
“It is not the first stone that makes a house,
but the last, set with care.”

Where buildings once appeared without warning,

their becoming now lies open before the city’s eyes.

A dark veil rests upon walls and roofs at first,

but with each passing hour, it slowly recedes.

    Quote
“Patience is the mortar between the stones.”

Thus becomes visible what was once hidden:

time, effort, and the quiet labor of many hands.

    Quote
“He who sees the building rise
    understands its value.”

    Some turn away,

    unwilling to wait.

    Others remain,

and in the slow growth, recognize true wealth.

    Quote
“A realm does not grow faster
    simply because it is hurried.”

    Therefore the chroniclers recorded

that not only the destination matters,

but the path that leads to it.

    Quote
    “What grows in plain sight
    is respected.”

    May those who build

    learn to wait.

    And those who wait

    understand what they are raising.

    Quote
“It is not the end that honors the builder,
    but the becoming.”

„And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, and I looked and behold, a pale horse.
And his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.“
