Read this tutorial if you want to install beta patches for The Guild 2 - Renaissance in languages other than German or English.
User who bought their game via Steam don't need this guide.
1. Patch 4.15
In order to be able to use beta patches you need patch 4.15. You can get this patch here.
If you've installed patch 4.15 in German or English already and you don't want to switch to French, you can skip this task.
2. Changing the language in config.ini
Now you have to change the language the game uses in your config.ini. This file usually lies in your game directory.
Search for the line 'Language = "english"' and change "english" to the language you'd like to use (spanish, italian or french). After that save the file.
Important: If Windows refuses to save the file after you changed it, close the file, copy it to your desktop, open it from there, make your changes and save it. Then copy it back into the game directory.
3. Installing the beta patch
The first beta patch including the additional languages is version 4.17b. You can find it here.
Install the patch in the language you want to use.
There will be some texts remaining in English. This is caused due to the fact that we don't have any translations for the texts which came with the beta patches, so we just included the English translations for them.
