Welcome to the Translation Kit!
You can do the international non-english community a great favor by translating some lines into your language. EVERY line helps.
The modpack right now supports the following languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian.
As long as some translations are missing, I will use the english line instead as a placeholder.
The modpack is designed from a mainly German team and we do our (more or less accurate) English translation. This translation
is the base for every other translation.
How can I contribute?
Scroll down to your desired language. Now there is a status. If it is below 100% I have attached files like this: Transl_LANGUAGE_NEW_unfinished.txt; Transl_LANGUAGE_CHANGED_unfinished.txt
As you can see, some lines in the modpack are "new" and some have been "changed" in comparison to 4.211. You can contribute with any line you want - the easiest would probably be if you translate new lines, but changed lines are probably even more important, because some functions might have changed in comparison to vanilla.
How do I translate CHANGED lines?
I have attached the original 4.211 text files for all languages, just in case you are missing some files. Now what you need to do to translate a changed line: Compare the line from the changed-textfile with the line within the original text.dbt. Sometimes it's only a word or a sentence you have to change - you can keep the rest from the original line.
Sounds easy, am I ready to go?
Be careful when translating. Don't change any tags, formating etc. and don't copy the lines into a different
text program than "windows editor", never use this signs: " ", instead use: ' ' or: ><
You can break the text.dbt if you do otherwise!
Upload the lines or post them in this thread or just send me a PM. I will add the lines to the text.dbt of your language (you don't have to mess around with that)
When will my translation go live?
As soon as I added them Of course I can't really tell if your spelling or translation is correct, but I will check if you did the formatting right
I am just here for the translation, how do I install a new language?
Download the text.dbt of your desired language, extract it to the folder "DB" and overwrite the existing file. Then check your config.ini: Look for "Language =" and make sure it is the same language you just copied ("german", "english", "french", "spanish", "italian", "polish", "russian")
If you don't change it accordingly, no buttons will show the right text.
