The "The Guild" typical humor...

  • Rather important I'd say.

But take care not to overstep certain boundaries and take it into (imo inappropriate) ridiculousness. Well written humor can brighten up the gameplay immensely, but I would personally rather have a more serious tone than "cheap sillyness" for the sake of laughs. As usual, it depends on a fine balance.

  • He should have an overexxagerated posh accent and have a bunch of horrible puns. They also need to have an extremely dry laugh after that.

"Could I ask what brings you here if I may be so self en-TITLEd?"

"I can't just give people any title you know. That you'll have to baron mind."

"I guess I can always COUNT on you to want to achieve a higher title."

"You can't be SIReous, you're here again?"

"I suppose where you're standing you're itching to DUKE it out!"

  • "Honest beer no less, god bless!"
"Stop clicking me ALL the time" when clicking a thug
Those are the most memorable for me and I think they're part of the game and shouldn't be left out but not too overdone.
The Guild 2 Renaissance had a good balance. The lines were really fun, making the game more enjoyable at times.

  • lol dude, that last one.. I read it in the most perfect voice it was brilliant
